Crush Davis Update

We're just going to put all the latest Chris Davis news in this thread, since he seems to do something worth mentioning every night. Today he homered again against the Athletics, his 10th home run in 89 at bats. Friday's home run was against Alan Embree, the A's lefty specialist. Davis was supposed to struggle with lefties, but he's hit 4 home runs in 27 AB against them, and now has a .303/.347/.730 line in his first 89 AB with 10 home runs and 20 runs batted in. Beast.

Michael Young got hurt so the Rangers had Ramon Vazquez play SS and let Davis make his MLB debut at 3rd, where he managed not to commit any errors. Davis has 6 multi-hit games in his last 10.

Chris Davis homered again Sunday night, his 11th in 126 ABs (meaning by the end of tonight he probably won't be a prospect anymore). It was 31 AB between homers for Davis, his longest stretch of the year.

Davis had back to back multi-hit games, including 4 RBI against the Red Sox last night. He's now driven in 32 runs in 152 AB.

Chris Davis homered and doubled tonight, his 14th and 15th respectively. Davis is now on a 6 game hitting streak since Hank Blalock was activated and he was moved over to 3rd base. He now has an .889 OPS for the season.

Wow. Patience/stubbornness may finally be paying off here. Chris Davis went 3-4 tonight with a home run and a double, raising his slash line to .333/.378/.627! Glad to see what he can do when finally given a chance. [/jinx]

As they've been saying on the radio all day today, it's really hard to go 0-8 with 5ks and still be a hero, but that's exactly what Crush pulled off yesterday, pitching 2 scoreless innings and getting the win for Baltimore. Was that the update you were looking for?
