If anyone's interested,I belong to a website called fitocracy, which is a game/social network based around fitness. basically, you get points for logging workouts you've done. There are quests and achievements and a bunch of other features that are either already implemented or in the works.

If anyone is interested in giving it a try, here's some invite info. The site is still in a closed Beta so you can't just sign up.

Oh, and like all the best stuff on the internet, it's free.

My roommate does that, I don't really get it though. It's hard enough to get myself to work out, but then to also log in to a website and record it? Too much work.

For me, the way ut gives you points you can 'compete' in your workouts against people doing entirely different exercises.
Logging workouts, whether in a notebook or on a website is generally just good habit so you can track progress. The mobile site is handy for logging workouts while at the gym. They also have integration with the Runkeeper apps.
