I'm thrilled the Yanks are up 2-0. But, as a baseball fan, I'm still completely appalled by Izturis' play. Is that the worst play of this past decade considering the circumstance? I'm sleep deprived, and hungover but I can't come up with one.

Im thrilled as well, but im not sure why he went to 2nd. They weren't going to turn 2, and the runner going to second was just as meaningless as the batter.

There was something in the air yesterday. That game had, what, seven errors, and it ends on a ridiculous play. USC, Florida and Texas all had crazy, fluky plays late to win after playing surprisingly poorly against lowly/unranked rivals. The Blackhawks lost on a goal where the puck rolled along the boards then bounced straight sideways all the way across the ice, over Huet's glove and in. Liverpool lost 1-0 on a strike that went off of their defender and then a beach ball and in.

There was nothing in the air and everything in the weather. Baseball is not meant to be played in those conditions, if we end up with a Yankees/Phillies Series you should get used to that kind of game.
