Time to Say Goodbye
Hey guys,
After a lot of internal debate for the last 6 months or so and after talking with some of the ExCo, I've decided to resign my post as the GM of the White Sox.
While I really do still enjoy the league. the last few years my activity level has been steadily declining and the IBC has unfortunately been moving lower & lower on my priority list. Frankly, the IBC and the White Sox would be better served with a more active GM.
That being said, it was definitely a fun time being a part of the league all these years. Best of luck to all of you in the upcoming season.

Yeah, it takes a while to not only build your talent base but to get the type of attractive players that make you a serious factor on the trade market. That might have been the most frustrating part for me for a year or two. Good players would come available, but I literally would have had to trade all of my assets to get one of them.Rockies wrote:Goes to show you how much easier it is to win when you don't take over some other dumbass' mess.RedSox wrote:Brett's departure brings the number of Original Members (draft participants) remaining down to 6. I think the league is in an interesting place right now, as those of us who came in around three years ago have had ample opportunity to build, and those guys who had the jump on the rest of the league after bending over the weaker sisters in the early league for a few years have had enough time pass that it's taken real skill to keep themselves on top. The next season or two will be very interesting.

yeah, seeing two Pirates banners at the top will be a bit of a yellow blitz, but interesting indeed.Tigers wrote:The next season or two will be very interesting.Rockies wrote:Goes to show you how much easier it is to win when you don't take over some other dumbass' mess.RedSox wrote:Brett's departure brings the number of Original Members (draft participants) remaining down to 6. Not so fun fact, I'm 28 going on 29 now. I feel old.
But the top will look good with some red up there. A wishbone C will be next!
Oh and farewell to Brett, you will be missed. (I thought I posted something already but I must have forgotten, slippin').
