Marcus Giles reportedly has reconsidered and will sign a minor league deal with the Dodgers.
The plan was for Giles to spend about 10 days at Triple-A Las Vegas before being called up. If he adapts well to third base, he could start for the Dodgers until Nomar Garciaparra returns. If not, he'll probably play behind Blake DeWitt.

Rockies released second baseman Marcus Giles.- March 26

He has not played or signed with anybody, he is not retired but is in the same boat as Bonds. He cannot play.
