Rich Harden is the best SP in DMB for this season.
baa: .194/ .204
2.47 ERA
Fair SP durability and average RP, so he can be used ala 99 Pedro in the playoffs.

Harden has always been a stud, when he's not on the DL.

He needs to try and stay healthy this season and put in more than 50 innings. That's always been the issue with him, but outside of that, yeah, he's a stud.

Yep. and I think that year is this year. Not this year but next he's a FA and just one healthy season will give him a gigantic paycheck.

Plus, there's no pressure on Oakland to succeed. Perfect opportunity.

It very well could be this season, but its still just a tad bit early to get too crazy over it. Don't forget, that Karma lady can be real mean.

Yeah but I feel like this is karma in my favor. I couldn't give the guy away over the winter.

Shhhhhhhhh, not so loud, that Karma lady can be very fickle.

Whether people made the right decision on not wanting to trade for him is still to be determined. Everyone knows Harden is a stud "when healthy". Don't jump the gun on rubbing it in everyones faces yet.......the regular season hasn't started yet. You'll have plenty of time for gloating later.....or maybe not.

I reserve the right to be excited over having the best SP (projection wise) in the game by half a run. :)

Your point is fair, but after plenty of lowball offers after lowball offers I feel vindicated and excited.

Congrats JP. As you know I like Harden..

I just can't take his risk, something I can't get past. I love him, but as others have stated, its when he's healthy. Who knows on him. I hope he's healthy for ya, I really do. I just can't take that risk in my own rotation, given my past injury histories etc. Trying to stay away from that, as its been my detriment in past seasons.

For real, it won't be an "I told you so" scenario until he cracks the 100 inning mark. Then everyone will be pissed they didn't trade for him, and you can sell high before he gets hurt again.

Pfff I've gotta call bullshit on that. Harden is an extremely talented pitcher with a massive problem staying healthy. The price you had in mind wasn't bearing in mind the 'massive problem staying healthy' part.
