Ryan Zeferjahn made his MLB debut with the Angels this season. His ascendence to the show is not nearly enough to save my awful 2019 draft class which, until now, trailed only the equally tragic 2018 class as my worst draft class ever. A reminder that even the great ones swing and miss sometimes. Releasing Smith-Shawver and Bloss shortly after drafting each was also a terrible job by me. 2020, not a great year either - go Bobby Miller! 2021, I got back on track (H. Davis, J. Wood, C. Williams, AJ Smith-Shawver). That one is shaping up to be the O's best draft class ever, though 2017 would be tough to top if Wander Franco didn't turn out to be a diddler. The 2022 and 2023 classes look deep and solid, but it's too early to tell on either one.

It would be awesome if someone had a record of the 2003 to 2007 drafts. All I remember is a few names I drafted. Some good ones (Justin Verlander, Ian Kinsler, Gio Gonzalez) and bad ones (Joe Savery, Scott Beerer). Pretty sure I took Verlander 4th overall in my first IBC FYPD. Of this I am also sure - I was not the clown who selected Maels "fucking" Rodriguez with the #1 pick. Oof.
