Re: 2025 Draft Discussion
Do I really consistently lose games, Pat? One 3 yr rebuild out of 20+ seasons where I picked 9, 8, 11 (not including my first season where I picked 4th w/ an inherited team). Is that consistent? Besides that I've picked in the late teens to late 20s every single year, including those when I was winning the division repeatedly. Pretty sure I've only missed the playoffs a small handful of times, which is tough to do if you're consistently losing games. Somehow, Pat, I've managed to consistently kick your ass at drafting without having to shake down the bottom feeders for all their top picks. You should try it. Go ahead, say how I have not won a championship. Does not change my statement. Also, you should look up the word "consistent."

Re: 2025 Draft Discussion
I mean, a hell of a haul, but it matters where you picked and its harder to pass final judgment on a class without anybody reaching the bigs yet, even if some are virtual locks. But yeah, that's about as good a group as any.Astros wrote: Sat Mar 01, 2025 12:22 pmHow would you score 2022?Orioles wrote: Fri Feb 28, 2025 10:23 pm College is for dweebs. Re: 2025 Draft Discussion
I drafted four players who appeared in the top 100 in the last year and my first pick was #23. I think that's pretty good. I'm sorry JP ripped you off for Felix Hernandez in 2016 and your brain malfunctions now when it comes to trades. Some scars last forever, I guess. You should really put yourself out there more (for trades, not for non-baseball talk)Orioles wrote: Sun Mar 02, 2025 4:42 amDo I really consistently lose games, Pat? Re: 2025 Draft Discussion
Wow dude. That's impressive. Gee, I didn't know you cared so much. Indeed, as I said, I did a 3 year rebuild. That would be my 70, 71, 76 win seasons, which you posted. Where are my other like 20 seasons, Mr. IBC Historian?Guardians wrote: Sun Mar 02, 2025 1:05 pmI drafted four players who appeared in the top 100 in the last year and my first pick was #23. In any case, my draft record is out there. If yours is posted, please link to it. I'd be interested to see how often you turned late draft picks into MLB assets.

Re: 2025 Draft Discussion
Yeah, when I pimped my draft skills, that's kind of exactly what I was saying. I am unquestionably the IBC draft champion.
Predictably, like a 2003 Yankee fan (but with 26 fewer championships) your only recourse was to change the subject and talk about the time when you won a championship. Good job. Kudos to you for 5 years ago.
What happened to posting your draft record? I'm sure it would've taken less time to throw up there than a snarky little art project. I thought you had a super duper draft last year, didn't you? Aren't you proud enough of your ability to evaluate young players to show all your past success at maximizing draft pick value?

Think even you’ve got to admit that ‘snarky little art project’ was pretty damn funny.

Meh, it would take some kind of vicious insult to one of my family members to even register, let alone actually get my dander up.Yankees wrote: Sun Mar 02, 2025 6:55 pmThis is nonsensical. I thought I was pretty clear. He's responded to my draft shit talking before with the exact same thing. Not super creative.
Still no link to his draft record.

Re: 2025 Draft Discussion
Trey Gregory-Alford, Kavares Tears and the recently snagged Rodney Green were the three atop my list when I last picked at 107. I got one more guy I'm looking at for 147. If he doesn't make it there, I'll pass quickly.
