Honestly pretty happy with the team so far. I was given a lot more talent than I expected (sorry Nate), so I certainly can't take much credit. The offense is shaping up fairly nicely. There are definitely some gambles, but the team is very young (oldest regular is Roberts at 31) and has plenty of potential.

Detroit certainly had a lot of excess pitching when I took over, so I used that to add some depth since there wasn't much of a bench.

Still have a ways to go, but have some guys in place who could be good gambles.

As always, always looking to mix things up.

Updated after a massive day of trading. February 20, 2012 will go down as an important day in IBC Tigers history. Whether good or bad, we won't know for a while.

Well, we did it. In a season where I fully planned to set the foundation for a young, productive team in the next couple years, some things broke right, I made some late deals for vets who could help me continue a push for the playoffs and with a win and an Indians loss today, my magic number is 0 and the Tigers are the AL Central Champs.

I had very low expectations coming back into the league after a seven-year hiatus, but I'm pleased to be here. I'm not sure what kind of chance I'll have against the Rangers in the first round, but better to be in the playoffs than not at this juncture. We'll give it a whirl and see what happens. Either way, it should be fun.

Well, yes, I am a genius. But, look at this clown car of a division this league has compiled. I'm like the Mountain West football champs being tossed into the SEC here...

Frustrating end to a fun season as only the first two of the best-of-five games were played H2H and the following three were all decided by the sim and a total of five runs. A close series nonetheless.

I certainly didn't expect much this year, but with some good trades and smart pickups, I picked up where I left off in 2005, with a division title. I feel like I'm well-positioned to be competitive in 2013, which begins now.
