Wow, very tragic. Did not know his younger brother passed just a few years back. Definitely feeling for his family to lose two young individuals in a short span.

Sucks. I thought he was gonna be a pretty good pitcher for a long time. No one should die that young.

Tommy was a guy high on my IBC wish list for a while. Such a shame. All I've been thinking about all day is what could cause catastrophic organ failure at 29? Anyone have any ideas?

Given how many of us in the league are in that rough age bracket now I bet we all were. I spent a little time trying to Google it before I realized all I was doing was scaring myself. It started with trouble breathing so he probably inhaled something. Likely culprits include infection, allergic reaction, immune system overreaction, some kind of toxicity, basically almost certainly some kind of crazy random unpredictable event.

Doctors told my uncle he could've easily died last week. He had a pimple on the inside of his nose and he kept picking at it and it got infected. When he went to the doctor they said if he waited another day the infection would've got to his brain and he'd have died in his sleep. I'm not researching anything cause I don't want paranoia all night
