Miller Lite is gross, at least Bud Light kinda tastes like water mixed with beer. Even my fiance (from Milwuakee) and her friends think Bud Light is better.

I'll always be a Coors guy for light beer. I like Shinerbock and Lone Star for my go to beers though, I know they're not craft. I don't have a refined pallet. Drinking is for getting a buzz

Up here the most common cheap beer is Labatt, which I drink pretty often for the sake of getting drunk. I've seen it in a few other states, but not here yet, but there's now a Busch Copper Lager that I thought was pretty awesome. I bought a 4 pack of 16 oz cans and I think the beer is like 5.7% ABV. It was like $4.50 and after drinking all 4 I had a decent buzz. Plus it made me feel murican.

Best part of this article, that the canned versions are being light shocked so the canned versions can be just as shitty.

In a 100% true story, I almost lost my job bartending in Newport, RI when I told the sales rep whose company carried Heineken and was giving us a tasting on Heineken light: "I don't care that it's free. I am not drinking the light version of a skunks asshole."

I got suspended for a week...but Heineken Light become so far and away our worst seller, that, as retribution, I got to choose a local craft beer to put on tap in its place. After a process, I chose Newport Storm, which became the bars best selling beer. That's my favorite bartending story that doesn't end with me hooking up with someone I sold alcohol to...

I haven't drank much Boulevard, but I always thought their flagship wheat beer tastes like soap.

If you're in St. Louis, dinner at Schlafly Taproom is great, but the best beer brewed in St. Louis is at Urban Chestnut. When I was on the SLU cycling team, we were sponsored by them. They didn't give us money, but they did give us 4 kegs for parties to raise money, and then if we ever came in wearing our kits (that had their logo on it), they'd give us 15% off beer, so whenever we went out for an afternoon ride, we'd finish there and drink a few beers.

I had to look up this beer...and it is an American take on a Belgian wheat...okay, I would have to agree with Nate, really and why? There are few and far Belgians that I can actually enjoy these days, hoppy beers for life.

I can't drink Belgian or wheat beers either. Also, good find on the Hieneken article. I shared this with the numerous people I know that for some reason enjoy it.

Schlafly usually has some very good Belgian beers. They had a Grand Cru that was amazing (and like 10% ABV) and usually they have a tripel that was delicious too. In general, I don't like wheat beers, but there are plenty of different Belgian styles that are good.

This I will agree with.

The only thing I've ever had worth driking from Boulevard is their Tank 7.. even then..

Mediocre brewing IMO.

I've never once enjoyed a beer out of a green bottle. At this point I'm not sure if its the bottle or that Becks/Heineken/Rolling Rock are all disgusting.
