A brief look at some IBC Orioles who have had hot starts in the minors this season:

With 29 PA at High-A Stockton, Sean Doolittle is batting .308/.345/.577 with 1 HR, 6 RBI, and a 5/2 K/BB ratio.

In his first taste of AAA, Jordan Brown is batting .321/.387/.429 with 3 2B and a 3/3 K/BB ratio in 31 PA for Buffalo.

Another hot Indians prospect, Wes Hodges, has opened the season for AA Akron with a .375/.400/.667 line in 25 PA, adding 2 HR and 4 RBI with a 3/1 K/BB ratio.

Jarrett Hoffpauir, who could be one of the first call-ups to St. Louis this season, is hitting .429/.480/.571 with three walks to just one strikeout, while hitting 3 doubles in the process for AAA Memphis.

James McDonald has appeared in two games for AA Jacksonville so far, pitching 7 innings, with a 2.57 ERA and a 6/2 K/BB ratio.

Greg Smith had one start for Sacramento this season, throwing 6 innings while striking out 4 and walking just one. He was then called up to the Show, and responded with an almost identical stat line, 6 IP, 5 K, 5 BB, but only 2 hits.

In his one and only start so far this season for New Britain, Anthony Swarzak pitched 5 innings, giving up just one earned run, striking out 4 and walking 1, while allowing three hits.
