Updated with stats.

Season in review:
Got a nice surprise before the season started when Fenway went from being one of the best parks in the league for lefthanded power hitters(119 HR Park Factor) to the second worst park in the AL(88 HR Park Factor) and 4th worst overall. Working under the belief that park factors were weighted on a three year average I had my offense set up with lefties with HR power and RHH who hit a lot of doubles so the one year 31% drop for LHH was a swift kick in the groin.

The season kicked off and Hudson, Lilly, and Luebke immediately went on the DL. Traded a bunch of close up guys, most notably AJ Griffin, to get some fake SP's in Bard and Wade Davis to fill in and got the ship righted pitchingwise.

On offense it was much the same. Werth and Iannetta both went down at about the same time and missed a couple months, necessitating trades for Chris Snyder and David Dejesus. Might have been able to muddle through it if Jay Bruce hadn't been on his way to a .208/.287/.362 year. I moved him up and down the line-up, platooned him, and eventually had to put him on the bench because he was just terrible. That's what a crash in Park Factor HRs can do to a guy who's projected to hit more HR than 2B's. Added Victorino for the stretch run for three reasons: his sim was pretty good, I'm not impressed with this year's draft, and TOR and NYY were trotting out 8 lefthanded starters between them at the time. It also hurt to lose Papi for the season late in the year.

The bullpen stayed healthy and was a strength on the year. It will be interesting to see what kinds of sims Venters and Marmol get next year. Both were terrible in the first half and much better in the second. Mark Montgomery and Wade Davis could both become fixtures in the IBC Sox bullpen next year.

After beginning the season 10-13 for April, reinforcements arrived and I went 86-53 over the rest of the season. Both Snyder(.249/.372/.439) and Dejesus(.298/.369/.473) played way over their heads in filling in at C and RF.

Going into the offseason:
Uggla probably has to go. If he's hitting 30+ HR you can live with the defense at 2B but I was getting results only a couple games off that when I stuck a VG 2B with below average offense in that slot. RF, CF, LF, DH, 1B, 3B, C all seem pretty set. I'd like to find a back-up catcher that can throw at a VG+ rate and a guy who can get a bunt down.
Would also like to find another #4 or 5 slot SP for depth.

Dejesus, Fuld, Torres, Gattis, Bard, Montgomery, Tateyama, Brach, and Reynolds are all available and if Heathcott proves ready to hold down CF with VG range Victorino could become available along with Werth which would give me the flexibility to take on an upgrade at 1B or LF. As always, all picks and prospects are available.
