Reno Aces

Post by Yankees »

People are posting about AZ, I'll be in Phoenix from 10/10-10/12. I'd love to say what's up The fun part is that this isn't vacation. Weird, yes...stay with me.

As it would seem to stand, on 3/19, I'll be named the GM of the Reno Aces. This is literally a dream job for me. I'd appreciate this group being respectful about not tweeting/socialing/etc., as my girlfriend and I have some things to finalize...but I couldn't be more excited about this new opportunity.

I'll be in Phoenix to introduce myself to the management team that will be in Reno for the 2018 season. As crazy as it sounds, that'll include Greg Gross, Mike Lansing, and Gil Heredia...unfortunately none of whom were Nats IBCers.

If anyone wants to see some AAA ball...welp, you'll know where to find me...

I looked over the PCL last week trying to figure out where you might be going after we talked about it and would've bet a paycheck you were heading to Round Rock. Congrats Brett! Guess I gotta find a reason to go to Reno now

First IBC GM to parlay hours of seemingly wasted time on scouring prospect websites, stats sites and general trade talk into an ACTUAL baseball GM. Big congrats, buddy!

If we come to Reno, is there a luxury suite for us?

A suite at a game? More like a hook up at the Peppermill...

So, watch out if Z is trying to get obscure minor leaguers off of you. He'll literally be insider trading.

Thanks all! I'll be happy to make good on those dibs in the unlikely event that that ever happens!

Funny you mention the insider trading, they asked about one thing they should know about me, and I said that if I got the job, no one would be more excited for Kyle Farmer to come into town than me.

Sweet deal. Well you know you got one person to drink with when your team visits Sacramento. And guess it is only a two hour drive up and over the hill to come to your park.

Awesome ... enjoyed following your career so far leading to the Aces and looking forward to seeing where you go from here Z. Enjoy AAA, enjoy your journey - and I, for one, am pretty sure this is your not your final (career) destination. This year you should have some fun with the Aces 10th Year Anniversary Celebration.

Awesome, congrats!

Do they know your first GM priorities lie with IBC?
