All projections in -

Probably a couple of arms short for 2018 and one more year of development for a few hitters - but definitely not a feeder/farm team for contenders anymore.

Still a team that is a year away - but will be more competitive.

Highlights:
Jose Ramirez continues to be one of the best position players in the game at premium spots
Brendan Rodgers continues his development and should be a solid contributor
Luke Voit convinced ZiPS his breakout was real
Alberto Mondesi may finally be turning the corner
Keston Hiura is developing faster than anticipated
Mitch Keller continues to knock on the door
Nolan Jones & Mark Vientos both took nice steps forward

Lowlights:
Derek Fisher continues to fail with minimum MLB opportunities
Dom Smith continues to look like a James Loney ceiling
JD Davis (see Fisher comment)
Fernando Romero is being fully converted to a reliever by the Twins despite having a decent rookie showing in the rotation
Jorge Mateo, the MLB is the other way

Wait and sees:
Puk, Kilome, Quintrall, Palumbo & Humphreys all have high ceilings and have all been delayed due to Tommy John - pushing my timeline back.
Amed Rosario finished strong, but what will he be in 2019?
Domingo Santana - a fluke year or can he still emerge as a solid regular?
AJ Reed - prospect fatigue. Has killed AAA three!!! straight years but still does not have a clear path in Houston unless he overtakes Yuli. At 25, it's time for a change of scenery unless he can push Tyler White out of DH - which may be tough to do.

In a perfect world, the hitting and pitching will all be ready at the same time - until then - this looks to be another development year.

After missing the playoffs by one game in 2020, going into 2021 with several MVP candidates on offense, depth on the bench and lots of RP options.

Main priority will be upgrading at SS & CF and adding to the rotation that leaves quite a bit to be desired.

If you have SP that you are going to be looking to move that isn't 34+ years old and you see something you like, let me know.
