New Phillies hitting coach and one of those infamous SIM projection stars before ZiPS took over. He posted a +152 OPS for AAA Brewers in 2007 which DMB went crazy with.

What are some other random SIM stars that you remember?

Hiram Bocachica for Brandon in 2007. I forget exactly how monster his numbers were but I know Brandon missed him going to the minor league DL and he had to miss the playoffs, which greatly helped me beating him.

Jeremy Sowers won 20 games for me in 2007 thanks to 88 innings in 2006, but in those 88 innings he had 35 strikeouts. Needless to say, 2007 was his only useful sim year

Hiram Bocachica is absolutely No. 1 for me.

Not a sim star per se, but the year that Zalaski got to play Chipper Jones at SS with an Av rating was pretty obscene.

I can't remember who, but Hamlin had a pitcher for awhile the he'd refer to as "Cy..." and the last name escapes me.

Didn't John Lindsay have an insane year for someone one year?

That Chipper year will be remembered fondly.

Yusmeiro Petit and Wade LeBlanc both pitched me into the playoffs a couple years ago.

In 2013 Chris Carter hit 42 Hrs, had 123 RBIs, 92 walks & a .572 slugging % ... still franchise seasonal bests for the IBC White Sox while they have been my team. Solid SIM star that year!

Happy Thanksgiving all!

I was on the Yusmeiro Petit train for a while. Even at the time of having a fairly good rotation he was still one of my top starters.

Petit led my team in wins in 2008 when I went to the World Series. Still question not starting him over Grienke in Game 7 against Pat cause I think there was enough sim magic left to get the job done

In 2008 my rotation was anchored by Mark "Cy" DiFelice, and I got 14 wins out of him the next year when he was rehabbing an elbow injury but had been put on a minor league contract for a big chunk of the season and so was technically not on the DL. Not sure that would fly anymore.

The year I won the World Series I got a 67.2 IP of 1.60 ERA relief from the legendary Burke Badenhop, and of course in 2015 (sorry to remind Nick) I got 91.2 IP of 2.45 ERA from Jason Lane including a shutout in the second to last game of the season to clinch a playoff spot after injuries forced me to stick him in the rotation (he also drove in a run). Then, after Kluber got worked in Game 1 of the LDS, Lane threw 6.2 shutout innings despite striking no one out and also doubled and scored. Fast forward to Game 5, Duffy and Casilla each eke through 2 innings and I say fuck it let's go Lane. 4 shutout innings and 1 hit allowed for the clincher. For those keeping score at home that was a 19.2 scoreless innings streak all clutch innings before JP hung a 4 spot on him to start his only appearance in the LCS (though he completed that game and didn't give up another earned run).
