The 2019 HR Pool

Post by Guardians »

Guys, the official 2019 HR Pool lists are in and ready for entries. The deadline is March 20, 2019 and new for this year -- electronic payment via PayPal. Please share the link -- www.thehomerunpool.wordpress.com so that we can continue building the pool of entries and work to lower the entry fee.

Last year, our own Jim Berger won it all, taking home more than $1,000 in prize money. And the IBC has a history of success -- Jake Levine won once and others have had top 10 finishes. Let's keep it going in 2019.

The IBC leaderboard at the All Star Break:

The current pool lead is 158 home runs and we had 156 entries overall.

Brett Degen leads all IBCers with 145 and he is sitting pretty in the money in 11th place.
Yours truly has 138 and is currently #27.
JB has two entries at 127 home runs.
Degen has a second entry at 120.
d'Esterhazy sits right behind at 118 and 112.
I have another entry at 109.
Last year's champ Jim Berger sits at 105.
JB and I have a combined entry that leans on Vlad Jr. sitting at 96.

Congrats on Degen for being so close, but there's a lot of season left. Good luck to everyone keeping the IBC tradition of placing in the money going!

Congrats to Giancarlo Stanton for deciding to become fine china and spending most of the year on the shelf.

And Travis Shaw for fulfilling his apparent desire to play in San Antonio this season ...
