David Peterson ruling

Post by Cardinals »

Stephen asked me to bring this to ExCo. I have been swimming underwater in work thanks to NFL and NCAA season.

This is what happened to Stephen:
So David Peterson in the DMB database exists as a combination of two people
the Mets David Peterson - stats
but the Braves David Peterson - Age
in our system, I swapped out the 17 Peterson for the live version, not paying attention to the DOB
just because I have been using the active version in the dmb where there is only one guy
I should be retaining the Mets David Peterson since there is only one active guy in the Zips database but the age was wrong
Pat, I know you had commentary around it so I'll let you speak to that directly rather than copy/paste.

We'll need to make a ruling on this one

My only commentary is I picked up 2017 draftee David Peterson because it's very easy to double check player dates of birth to determine who you're picking up and dropping. I'll let exco decide as it wishes.

I think Stephen was confused and should just get the player. It's not a big deal and he had some sort of DOB mixup on FanGraphs or whatever. Anybody else have an opinion on this? Would like to have this sorted out.

Yeah I think Stephen gets the player. There's nothing shady here
