2019 Draft
We won't have the draft functionality built into the website right away.
So we don't push the draft back further, I am creating a forum for us to begin drafting in.
The draft will begin on Feb. 1.
Shawn will convert the picks to correlating numbers on our team pages tonight.

Please note that you cannot trade your draft picks until both teams declare they are done drafting.

Re: 2019 Draft
As a reminder, teams must make drops after drafting in order to comply with the 50-man roster requirement. The 55-man roster expansion is being fulfilled through the ZiPS bidding process only.

Re: 2019 Draft
Lame - 55 should be 55 - ZiPS and draft combined.

Re: 2019 Draft
Sorry, but this is how we're handling this one-time transition to 55 on the roster. That some members aren't participating in zips bidding has no bearing on the process.

Re: 2019 Draft
Agreed thats lame.. especially since we can't even sign these players since the draft module wasn't updated in time. I also don't think that was made clear. I know I positioned myself to have enough spots for my draft picks post draft and zips.

Re: 2019 Draft
So technically, if all the ZiPS are released prior to the draft concluding - and all teams are free to up their rosters to 55, then can then use those spots on draft picks? Anyone else not see the logic in this?

Does anyone see the logic in you consistently complaining about mundane procedures?

Re: 2019 Draft
Whats the process post zips then? Is it a free for all to fill my unused spots? Does everyone go on waivers for 24 hours or whatever? Because I have 3 spots now that I can't and wont be able to use until Zips is done.. however long that's going to take(gets worse every year).

Trust me - I wouldn't waste my time if I didn't believe logic and efficiency would help improve the administering of the league. The process for increasing rosters seemed rushed and shortsighted from the start - and now we're going to run into a potential overlap where we'll be dropping guys for draftees only to resign them once we're allowed to roster up to 55. Just trying to save the double work for the admin.

Re: 2019 Draft
Once all zips releases are over and if teams haven't filled all five spots, all players will be available to pick up. All teams must maintain the 25 active player and draft roster requirements.Rockies wrote: ↑Wed Feb 06, 2019 4:23 pm Whats the process post zips then? Is it a free for all to fill my unused spots?
