If asked what has been the most powerful franchise in IBC history, almost everyone who's been here since year one would say JB's Yankees. But, his great roster and solid franchise year in and year out has only resulted in one IBC Championship. So, even though his roster is stacked from top to bottom...

Finally, something bad happens to the Cards that I'm allowed to make fun of them about. Can't say anything about Hancock cause thats tragic, and can't say anything about Encarnacion because that was just horrible, and the LaRussa DUI jokes were running thin. But now I got this. Sadly though, I don't...

Maybe it's just me...but is the competitive balance really that big of a problem? Yeah, there are some teams losing a lot of games, but some of those teams have really dedicated GMs who are in the process of rebuilding. I mean if you count quality GMs by division, I see 4 in the ALE, 4 in the ALC, e...

I would be in favor of a rule V draft, but, in all honesty, that's because it plays right into my hands as far my personal strategy goes. (As Jag pointed out). However, if we're doing this for the sake of competitive balance, then one round seems kind of pointless. Then again, five seems pretty hars...

mlb races
there are some pretty amazing races going on around the bigs. It's going to be very hard to predict who gets in and who doesn't, but what the hell, let's give it a shot anyway. I mean, we are a baseball league, let's talk some baseball. NL East - NYM NL West - San Diego NL Central - The Cubbies, bab...

I've got a week off, and I'm pretty bored, so if the league does decide to go with the system Z suggested, I can volunteer to receive the emails and coordinate everything with one of the boys in charge. I'm sure there are more than just two GMs out there itching to move and I don't think that some r...

persoally, i'd prefer that we all get a 40 man roster, 5 spots for players in AA or High A, and 5 lower than High A (that would be A, low A, Rookie ball and DSL regardless of draft year) or something similar along those lines. That would be MUCH closer to what MLB does and create a more realistic c...

don't want guys on your roster that aren't in the sim. That's it, nothing more, nothing less, so don't go around acting like you're championing some great cause I don't want guys on my roster that aren't in the sim? Then why I have spent the last million posts arguing for a 10 man roster made up of...

not the best way to go around flattering ExCo trying to get them to pass something you are pushing. who cares if the ExCo likes me or not? I wanna know how the process works. I thought it worked by me bringing something up, and then it being discussed, but since the second post of this topic was a ...

We put the 10 man draft roster in effect for one simple reason all those years ago: one year is not enough time to evaluate a prospect. If it was, then Jason Pridie would be an All Star. It serves it purpose, we have a 40 man roster, just like the mlb, and then the 10 man roster is, in effect, our ...

Oh, one other thing. We shouldn't have rules to force us to show interest in prospects? Wow, you mean MLB GM's don't have to have an interest or knowledge of prospects? MLB GM's don't get extra 40 man roster spots just because they ignore the minor leagues or have shitty systems. Again, your argume...

yes, you can get a response. No. The spots are designated for draft picks and draft picks only. We have 40 man rosters (like mlb) and the draft spots serve as our minor leagues. Right...and why can't I have whoever I want in the minor leagues? The minors are mostly young prospects, but there are al...

Roster Breakdowns/10 Draft Picks
I don't want to distract from the discussion on draft pick trading so I'm posting a new thread here instead. Basically, I'm pushing to have the 10 draftee rule changed so that we can have whoever we want on our rosters. In the other thread, the majority of the people who responded to the topic were ...
